Homeschooling in Mississippi

Having come from Michigan, I completely forgot that I have to "register" my kids.

I am not sure how I feel about this.

It is just a small index card, and the only information that is required is my name and address, kids names and birthdates and the "type of educational program."

I was told by my local group that the only thing I have to tell them is that it is "curriculum appropriate for 16-year-old, 14-year-old and 13-year-old" or "curriculum appropriate for 8th grader, 9th grader and 11th grader. " So I suppose it isn't too bad. I just don't see the point to it, really.

For the record, I am going to use ages because we are planning to graduate Christian - and possibly Alex - this spring and send them to Meridian Community College.
